Here is a photo of Mr. Nut Graf having drinks at the balcony at Bertrand’s at Mr. A’s, which has sweeping views of San Diego’s downtown and the bay. I’m trying to use this to entice those of you who live elsewhere to come visit us. Wouldn’t you like to have drinks here in the 70-80 degree weather, watching the planes glide into the city? A pretty remarkable sight.
Speaking of views, on a recent trip to Mexico City (pop. 20 million!), I was reminded of how beautiful parts of it are. Here’s a section of the Centro Historico (the historical downtown):

That’s Alameda Park and the gorgeous Palacio de Bellas Artes (an art nouveau-style theater) in back of the park.
And here’s Boston Harbor (We just returned from there, although this particular photo was taken a few years ago):

What is it about looking at bodies of water and trees that’s so relaxing?
